To plan and size the spar I used two books. "Composite Basics" by Andrew C. Marshall, and "Modern Aircraft Design" by Martin Hollmann. Marshall's book had the forumla to size the wing using pencil and paper. Hollmann's book came with a computer program to do the same. I first did it the hard way and then checked my work using the program. My numbers were within .1%.
